Failures

As your life slowly ebbs away, you begin to realise that you've failed everyone. Your parents, your dreams, your society. And more importantly, they've failed you. Life is nothing but a constant chain reaction of failures bound with each other - where some are more bearable than the others. You know that you will be defined with those less bearable ones, as human history is replete with examples of great men with astounding failures. And you aren't even great by any standard!

You have failed not because that you didn't try hard or anything - you have failed because mankind is burdened and overwhelmed with the failures of their ancestors, and what they do to rectify the wrongs is to copulate and reproduce, only to accentuate the misery. You have failed not because you skipped classes, or you smoked pot, or you killed 200 people or you killed yourself... No! You have failed precisely when you were born, BECAUSE you were born. And failures of this magnitude only attracts the penalty of death.

I say we love each other hard and die out. Is it too much of a problem to watch the last sunrise knowing that this will end, not only for us but also for all of us... past and future. Failures will never channel human history any more. Failures will be buried, unknown, with the last sunset. Ah! What a terrifying silence to dance to! What an illuminating darkness to breath in! There, the root cause of all this will probably remain fossilised with the last men on earth.
